This is an unbelievably delicious surprise dessert at Solare Ristorante – San Diego’s Best Restaurant 2017 Winner Randy Smerik – Owner.
Chef Accursio Lota is also winner of the Best Chef in San Diego, in San Diego Magazine.
Chef split the fruit, gutted the fruit, made different sorbets of the insides, and put them back, then froze them rock hard. … Talk about melt in your mouth surprise! Amazing!

This is a view from Mount Helix in eastern San Diego, looking south towards the Coronado Islands. The day, even with the cloud cover above, and eastwards, was very clear. I was hoping for the sun to peek under the clouds an blow up the bottoms of the clouds, but the fog bank towards the west stopped the sun.

Yesterday evening I was driving these two ladies to a concert at the Mattress Firm Ampitheater in Chula Vista, outside of San Diego. We were stuck in some crazy traffic because of “The Championship Tour”

I was driving around yesterday evening, and I was very close to Mount Helix about sunset time, so, I went up there and shot the evenings sunset.
I have some very good memories of a very good friend, who has since our last visit, passed away.
Like the days, and the sunsets, our lives are very short.
