Number Seven with a wake-up call over Clairemont. This bird rattled the neighborhood announcing this weekends visit of the Blue Angels. Here she is flying between the wires on Mount Everest Blvd. Seven of Six, is still, quite far away, and only a small portion of the full image, hence the blurriness. So! This weekend at MCAS Miramar. The Blue Angels!

Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, is a United States Marine Corps installation that is home to the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, which is the aviation element of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force. It is located in Miramar, San Diego, California, about 10 miles north of Downtown San Diego.

Here, the secondary bubble is complete. And as it clossed into being, a third, much smaller bubble grew out of the bubble walls rebounding.

A ship heading north, far enough out to sea so that we only see the upper portion of the ship. The bottom half is somewhere over the Horizon. … From where I was standing, the Horizon was about 12 miles away. So, the ship was more than that. … Oh, and the sun today, was about 93.27 million miles from where I stood and captured this image.

This is our resident Black-Phoebe on his/her backyard hunting perch. From this perch SHe can oversee the entire back yard, and if SHe spots anything tasty, SHe swoops in and lickety-split takes the offending insect off the planet. Yay Phoebe, our reswident Black-Phoebe.

Moons Rise, low, close to the horizon and early in its ascent, the color, and distortion, caused by the thickness of the atmosphere and some few clouds at this low angle. Still, I think she is beautiful, and I long to visit her in person. To the Moon, Mars, Jupiter, and the Stars beyond! Onward towards the unknowable future, but ever upwards, onward, and beyond.

You do need to look at the larger size in order to see the stars. …
This is ust looking over the house towards the semi-north, where we can see the Pleiades in the lower right area and Cassiopeia, in the uper, left of center, area. … This is mostly hand-held, One Second at f2.8 24mm, semi-braced against a wall. NOW! Anyone want to head out towards the mountains or the desert for some night shots from a tripod?
