A small joke that no one alive, except me, will get. … I really do not know what this is, but I liked it. …

Now, about "Spafittergie"
My younger brother and I were playing our version of softball that consisted of two teams of one person each. … There was only two bases, plus Home plate. One person would pitch to the other, and if you got a hit you had to run all the way home, while the other person chased the ball. If the Pitcher/Fielder/Defense got to home plate before you, the hitter, got to home, you were out. … I was the hitter, and my brother was the other team. I got a hit, and started running the bases, but it was short, and my brother got to the ball, and easily pinned me on second base. He was gloating and walked closer and closer to me with his big shit-eating-grin on his face. As he got closer, really close, he reached out to tag me out, adding to his gloat. … I quickly stretched out my fingers, and my arms, reaching towards his face. 😉 SPAFITTERIGIE! I shouted in his face. He was frozen in time, and I ran around him and touched Home plate! Score!

Callie (Calliope) had been running on Fiesta Island, and then she looked up and came a running. This angle is shot with my long lens, across most of the width of Fiesta Island, on past the unseen Pacific Passage of Mission Bay, and right at The San Diego Mission Bay Resort.

We had a rain, and it left a drying vernal pond. Here in the mud are the remains of three tracks, a dog, a small bird, and some small crawley thing. But, we also havel rebirth.

Washing my drop cloths

here we are sitting and waiting.

Callie (Calliope) tossed some cookies on my muslin drop cloths this morning. Calliope is a big hairy beast and I use the drop cloths to keep her hairy blond sheddings off the dark carpet in the back of the car.

So, here we are, making a stop at the coin laundromat because the drops are huge, something like 10’x20′ and it’s impossible to wash either of them in a home laundry machine. We had to go for two of the big boy machines.

And then we dried them as well. Man! Do those big heavy duty thick and fluffy tumble dried cotton muslin drop cloths smell good while rubbing my face in their just out of the dryer softness. … Calliope likes them too.
