In the mist, on the horizon, lies the four Coronado Islands, as seen from Mount Soledad in La Jolla. zthere is also quite a bit of Mission Bay in the mid-ground. The two Break-waters are the chanel of the San Diego River, and the pier is Ocean Beach Pier.3ss

He/She was there about 3 seconds, time for me to bring the camera to bear, attempt a focus, and hold the shutter down for five rapid fire shots, three of which the bird was in frame and two of which were only an empty branch.

I decided that small birds like sitting in these kinds of fences because, if a preditor comes from one direction, they can bail in the opposite direction, and the fence will provide a small bonus of a protection bubble that the larger preditor must then try to get around.,

Again from Kate Sessions Park. Pacific Beach is in the foreground. Fiesta Island is in Mission Bay. Then we have the Interstate 5 and 8 interchange. On the left is a little bit of Mission Hills. Then San Diego City proper, the Coronado Bridge, and Just beloe the bridge is the Midway Aircraft Carrier Museum. Further on we are looking at the Hills of Tijuana and some mountains in Mexico. … Oh, that little black spot on the right base of the table mountain is a helicopter.
