Initially, this was a beveled glass panel in the main door of the front entryway. … Then a small boy, with the strength of ten grown men, slammed the door so hard that things fell off surrounding walls, and the exterior tempered glass pane of this triple glazed door panel crackled into a bazillion fractures. Then because I will take this in for a replacement pane, over the past couple days, I have collected colored Duct Tape. And, today I applied the tape. … Then I captured this image through the pane towards the sunlight on the outside of the door.

One America Plaza, in San Diego California, is a prominent fixture in the waterfront district of the downtown San Diego skyline. The 34-story, 500 ft (150 m), 623,000 sq ft (57,900 m2),[5] obelisk-shaped tower was designed by Helmut Jahn of Murphy/Jahn Architects and KMA Architecture. The top of the building bears a striking resemblance to the end of a Phillips head screwdriver.

I always thought it was designed in the shape of a Quartz crystal, which San Diego has a lot of in our mountains.

I was a little disappointed with The Black-Phoebe image from the other day. It was much under-lit because it was sitting in the shade, and it was, well, black. … So I set up a couple flashes to balance against the high sun in the background. And so, here we have Phil, the little Black-Phoebe in the back yard.

I would love to have been able to get much closer to this little Black-Phoebe. I just love the Hitch-hiking ant on his forehead. I just looked at the image on Flickr, and you cannot quite make out that the little object on this Phoebe’s forehead, but it is. … 😉 It is very clear in the high-res image on my computer.

Not really angry, just looks anfgry. I think this is a Viero? … Tiny quick bird hopping among the leaves and twigs. These little birds rarely sit still. Kinda hard to chase down in the scrub of Tecolote Canyon.

Weare starting to see houses like this on the edge of Tecolote Canyon. This area is still the location of housing tract homes from the 1950’s. But, they are being bought, and put under extreme renovation, and these kinds of homes are the results.
