Did this ever happen to you?

Facebook jumped me today.

I am unabashedly opposed to our current republican government in the USA today. And, I have been calling people out on Facebook, in their postings, and their furtherance of fake news, and their reposting of outright lies.

Today Facebook kicked me offline, and asked for a picture proving I am me.

Capturing the Canvas in a Photograph – A Lecture

As you can see by this flyer, I will be giving a lecture on the tools, the techniques, and the post production, of photographing canvas artwork for use in other mediums.

I do want to be very clear here. If you take your art seriously, I want you to know that real photographers take their art as seriously as you take your art. … What does that mean? It means that the photographer has put as much work in mastering his art, as you have in mastering yours.

Still, this lecture will be a comprehensive overview of all things related to copy work. So comprehensive; in fact that anyone with the tools and the patience should be able to shoot their own works for some secondary uses.

An iPhone Self Portrait for Facebook

Where do most of my Facebook profile images come from?

Self portraits, 🙂 Yes. We all do them. …

Often, I have to be somewhere other than at my computer working, and other than shooting elsewhere. … Just waiting, waiting for anything, Godot, an appointment. … Whatever.

So I grab my little iPhone, and shoot a few images at arms distance, and then I play. I have almost 120 iPhone applications that are dedicated to image manipulation, after the shoot editing. It is a kind of digital playground. …

After I play with all the tools on the iPhone, quite often I find a way to use a semblance of the effects on my real images.

How to Cover a Cover – Facebook

Hey. … I’ll bet some of you are connected on Facebook! And some of your connections are groups of like minded people for whatever like mindedness ideas you have. … 🙂

Only a Page/group administrator can publish a cover image for the page/group. But, we can all put images up there for the administrator to use for cover art. …

Click on the thumbnail to the rignt, and you will be able to read the directions. ->

This is a little tutorial I put together for a group I am a member of. Now, we are all starting to put up cover images, and we expect the administrator to change the image as our administrator sees fit. But, at least, we have given her/him a choice.
